Welcome Lucy Williams, Sustainability Leader


FGM Architects (FGMA) is pleased to announce that Lucy C. Williams, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD & C, Fitwel Ambassador and CSI: CDT & CCS has joined the firm as Sustainability Leader. In this capacity, she will help the design staff and clients across FGMA’s offices apply resilient and sustainable practices to the firmwide project portfolio. This is a new position for FGMA and furthers the firm’s commitment to sustainability as a signatory to the AIA 2030 Commitment.

I look forward to doing so as part of FGMA and am thrilled to be joining such a dynamic firm in this role.”


Lucy brings a wealth of experience to her new role. She received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Kansas in 2001. Over a career spanning 21 years, she has worked on a range of project types, including performing arts centers, higher education facilities, corporate offices, municipal buildings, state parks and residential environments. She established her own studio as a sole practitioner in 2009, expanding her skills in both the business management side of architecture as well as its many technical aspects. Lucy is an experienced architect who also has extensive knowledge of design technologies. She has taught this subject matter at various universities and consulted on dozens of sustainable projects. She is an active member of AIA St. Louis, having served on its Board of Directors for 8 years and as Chapter President in 2019.
