O'Fallon Community Park Enhancement Project Earns Chamber’s Transformation Award

Communities thrive when investments in public spaces create lasting opportunities for connection, recreation and growth.

That commitment to community impact recently earned regional recognition as the O'Fallon Community Park Enhancement Project received the Transformation Award at the 2026 O'Fallon-Shiloh Chamber of Commerce Salute to Business Awards.

Presented annually, the Transformation Award recognizes meaningful improvements to a building or property that positively influence the community. The honor celebrates projects that create visible, lasting change while enhancing the quality of life for residents and visitors alike.

A Recognition of Community Investment

The award recognizes the Community Park Enhancement Project Build Team, including O'Fallon Parks & Recreation, Holland Construction Services, FGMA and Millennia Professional Services. Together, the team helped reimagine one of O'Fallon's most cherished public destinations into a vibrant, accessible community asset.

For decades, Community Park has served as a gathering place for families, neighbors and visitors. As aging facilities reached the end of their useful life, city leaders saw an opportunity to think beyond replacement and invest in a vision that would better serve future park goers.

The result is a renewed park experience that expands recreational opportunities, supports year-round programming and creates welcoming spaces for people of all ages and abilities. New aquatic amenities, community gathering spaces, event facilities and park improvements strengthen Community Park's role as a destination for connection and community life.

Designing for the Future of O’Fallon

The project's impact extends beyond new buildings and amenities. Extensive community engagement helped shape the vision, while thoughtful planning preserved beloved park features, including mature trees that contribute to the park's identity and character. Mindful site and building planning, along with needed traffic calming, allowed for a much needed increase in safety and park access to the city’s well attended summer camp users. The design also prioritizes flexibility, accessibility and long-term stewardship, allowing the park to adapt alongside the needs of a growing community.
