Ronald Richardson
Executive Vice President, Director of PK-12 Education
Ron has several decades of experience primarily focused on the PK-12 educational market. Ron is a listener who brings strong leadership, attention to detail and motivational skills to his teams. He enjoys rising to the challenge, saying “I enjoy creating solutions. The more challenging, the better.” Ron has been instrumental in advancing sustainability initiatives in schools, from carbon reduction to stormwater pollution reduction to outfitting buildings for solar panels in the future to micro-grid technologies. His signature project is the multi-award-winning Prairie Trails School, the first net-zero energy renovation in the nation certified to meet 2018 PHIUS+ Source Zero requirements. Selected for a 2024 Better Project, Better Practice award by the U.S. Department of Energy, and recognized at the White House, the school uses no fossil fuels and is a national model for sustainable design.
Ron is an outdoors enthusiast, enjoying running, snow skiing, biking, sailing, axe throwing and hiking. He’s completed several bike races with FGMA colleagues as well as five Tough Mudder races. He is also a musician who played in his university symphony, including a concert at St. Louis’ Powell Hall.
