Louise has a deep well of experience in the creation of municipal and public safety facilities. She embraces the challenge of welcoming public spaces for the community while creating the necessary secure zones these types of buildings require.
In terms of her approach, Louise enjoys eliciting her client’s ideas so that so that the resulting facility design aligns with their vision. “For me, the most exciting part of the design process is problem-solving, which doesn’t occur in a vacuum, it takes collaboration. Meeting a range of challenges that often include budget, program and site constraints while realizing the client’s vision requires creativity,” she says. She strives to create buildings that are cohesive in their overall design aesthetic, with the exterior and interior fitting seamlessly together.
