David Polkinghorn

Vice President

David Polkinghorn is a Vice President with FGMA and a leader in the Faith-Based and Municipal practices. His experience includes church campuses, worship centers, church education facilities, recreation centers, city halls and more. He also has noteworthy experience in historic preservation. David joined the Austin office (previously Jackson Galloway Associates) in 2007.

David enjoys public-facing projects that make a difference in the communities he is serving. With a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree, he also has a passion for sustainability and creating functional, beautiful spaces optimized for people and the environment.

David carries that passion into his volunteer work, where he serves on two non-profit parks and rec boards: Friends of Barton Springs Pool and Barton Springs Conservancy. He finds volunteer work very rewarding, allowing him to serve alongside wonderful people and care for Austin’s treasured parkland. David is also a recreational swimmer, runner, and mountain biker — activities that he considers essential to life in Central Texas.
