FGMA is pleased to announce the addition of Shane Harris as Business Development Lead in the firm’s St. Louis Region. In this role, Harris will focus on expanding FGMA’s presence throughout the St. Louis metropolitan region as well as across Missouri and Southern and Central Illinois.

Harris has more than 20 years of experience in the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry, with a career marked by strategic growth, cross-sector collaboration and community engagement. He began his professional journey after earning a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He spent the early part of his career with the Missouri Department of Transportation, where he served as a Senior Engineer specializing in bridge construction.

Since moving into the private sector, Harris has led business development efforts for companies in engineering, building systems and construction. Most recently, he served as a Business Development Manager and Federal Market Leader for a major regional construction firm, where he led the company’s expansion into new markets and spearheaded federal partnership strategies.

“Shane’s extensive experience and relationship-first approach to business development make him an ideal addition to FGMA,” said Kevin Meyer, managing director of FGMA’s St. Louis region. “His leadership will be instrumental in advancing our mission to connect with communities and clients through thoughtful and impactful design.”

Throughout his career, Harris has built strong relationships that led to major PK-12, Higher Education, Municipal and Federal building projects and large industrial developments in the Greater St. Louis area. He is well-versed in identifying early engagement opportunities, guiding client communications and developing long-range market strategies.

A resident of St. Charles, Missouri, Harris is deeply connected to the local community. He and his wife Kaelin have three children and are actively involved in advocacy and support initiatives for children with rare genetic conditions. In addition to his professional commitments, Harris participates in several industry organizations including the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and the International Facility Management Association (IFMA).
