Congratulations to FGM Architects Interior Designer Carol Stolt for earning the WELL Accredited Professional (WELL APTM) credential through the International WELL Building InstituteTM (IWBITM), placing her among a group of leading professionals who are dedicated to supporting human health and well-being in the built environment.
The WELL AP credential is the leading credential signifying advanced knowledge of health and well-being in the built environment and specialization in the WELL Building StandardTM (WELL).
As a WELL Accredited Professional, Carol will be able to share her expertise on a wide spectrum of health-related design decisions with FGM’s clients. “Designing for health and well-being in schools and in the workplace provides spaces where occupants are more productive, show less absenteeism and are more engaged,” said Carol.
The WELL Building Standard is an integral part of FGM’s community-based approach to design, creating buildings that are resilient, sustainable and promote the health and well-being of their occupants. “WELL Building puts everything health-related into one rating system—the result is lower health care costs, higher productivity rates and higher retention rates,” said Carol. “LEED and WELL work together to close the gap between environmental health and human health.”
The WELL AP exam is designed to test a candidate’s knowledge and proficiency in building wellness and the principles, practices and applications of the WELL Building Standard. It is the first standard to focus exclusively on the health and wellness of the people in buildings. WELL is an evidence and performance-based system for measuring, certifying and monitoring features that impact human health and well-being in the built environment, through air, water, nourishment, light, fitness, comfort and mind.
